Independent dancer, choreographer, improvisation teacher, contact-improvisation, composition-choreography.
Founder and manager of “PLAY” Theater and Dance Center that allows people from different backgrounds to develop creativity through dance, theatre, performance and creation. Graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance 1997, and the Theater and Musicology program at the Hebrew university of Jerusalem 1998.
Winner of best performance with the “Walk my Talk” solo dance piece at the 2000 Shades in Dance competition.
Received an artist residency scholarship for Taiwan, where she created and performed, and have been invited again two years later to perform with her own dance company.
Ilanit was a co-founder and artistic director for the 2000 “Improvisation” ensemble that performed monthly for two years in an improvised show alongside a musician. Choreographer and artistic director of the BOO’A (Bubble) Dance Company. The Company ran for two years consisted of 7 dancers, premiering and performing choreographic and improvisational pieces, locally and internationally since 2002.
Throughout the years, Ilanit has created and worked in various ensembles, with different artists, locally and internationally, on stage collaborations and as a founder and partner of artistic projects as artistic director.
Along with her work in Israel, Ilanit is well-known and invited to teach regularly at festivals and dance and theater schools throughout Europe and the Far East.
Ilanit is known for her unique method of teaching improvisation as the art of the performance and contemporary dance technique, teaching beginners how to begin+ dancing.
Founder and creator
2000 – founder and artistic director of Improvisation – Dance and Music Theater Ensemble that performed monthly at Beit Tami in Tel Aviv.
2002 – Choreographer and artistic director of the Boo’a Dance Company, which consisted of 7 dancers, was active for about two years, premiering choreographic and improvisational performances.
2002-3 “As Simple as That”, premiered at Khan Theatre in Jerusalem and in Taiwan.
2005- present – founder and Artistic director of PLAY – Dance, Theater and Improvisation center.
Work experience – dance and teaching
2005 – present. Founder of PLAY – Dance, Theater and Improvisation center. Director of the curriculum, artistic director, accompanying the creative process of the band, ensemble and alumni. Contents: technique, improvisation, composition, performance art and artists workshops.
2002-2005 – Improvisation and Composition teacher and founder of “Hakvutza” in Jaffa.
2000-2002 – Improvisation, technique, contact, composition and New Dance technique workshops Instructor in Taiwan, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Russia, Ireland and Israel.
2001-2002 – contact improvisation teacher at Vertigo studio in Jerusalem for teenagers and adults.
2000-2001 – Theatre and Movement teacher at the Gymnasia Rehavia in Jerusalem.
1997-2001 – Physical Education and Dance and Movement workshops Instructor for Orthodox Women in Jerusalem.
1997-1998 – Movement teacher at Keshet High School.
Artistic director work experience
205-2010 mentoring young creators throughout the years.
Leading creative processes from the initial idea stage and developing it up to the forming and execution of a complete dance performance.
Producing 34 projects and performances, of which 7 were full events evenings for local and international companies.
Artistic director for 9 multiple dancers projects locally and internationally.
Collaboration with Hadas Ophrat at the Ha’zira theater Jerusalem, Vertigo Dance Company, Steve Batts from Ireland and more.
Awards and Grants
Winner of best performance with the “Walk my Talk” solo dance piece at the 2001 Shades in Dance competition at Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theater in Tel Aviv.
Artists exchange residency fellowship in Taipei, Taiwan, where I created a new solo dance piece and two dance pieces for local bands.
Teaching about 10 workshops in various centers around Taiwan.

“True Happiness” – solo dance by Ilanit Tadmor, premiered at international exposure, Macholohet and more (2009).
“And Now” a seven dancers dance piece premiered at Susanne Dellal at Macholohet and Tmu-Na (2008).
“Ticket to Seventh Heaven” – a duet collaboration with Ilya Domanov featuring Video Artist Lev Ulman that broadcasts the show live on screen. Commissioned by the Jerusalem Theater (2007).
“Moving Outdoors” Rothchild boulevard performance supported by Tel Aviv Municipality for “Laila Lavan” festival (2007).

“Resonance” – a 6 dancers’ piece, performed at numerous festivals around Europe, mainly in Ireland and the UK. The piece was commissioned by the ECHO ECHO company from Ireland (2005).
