Choreographer, dancer and dance teacher.
Born in 1975. Distinction Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Tel Aviv University (BA). Master’s degree in Interactive Applications from New York University (MPS). Master’s degree in Plastic Arts from Bezalel (MFA). Worked as an independent choreographer in New York from 2001 to 2007. Since 2008 works as an independent choreographer in Tel Aviv. As a dancer worked with: Muza Company, Anat Danieli, Ronit Ziv, Noa Dar, Ido Tadmor, Da Da Dance.
Staged “Paved Life”, an independent evening for five dancers at the Tmuna Theater, March 2012.
Staged “Israelikut” – an evening of works from the last three years for the Experiment Festival (Tmuna Theater), October 2011.
Wrote, produced and staged “Polished Concrete” for the ‘NekudatMaga’ Festival (Israel Museum in Jerusalem), July 2011
Wrote, produced and staged “Hodod” for the A-Genre Festival 2011 (Tmuna Theater) – a solo that combines text and movement, January 2011.
Wrote, produced and staged “Monuments” for the 2010 Curtain Up Festival (Suzanne Dellal) – a conversation between three dancers, which takes place while movement, contacts and lifts. The work was also staged as part of International Exposure 2010 (Suzanne Dellal).
Wrote, produced and staged “Corporpolis” for Intimadance 2010 (Tmuna Theater) – a duet that combines lecture, acrobatics and movement.
Wrote, produced and staged “Israelica” for Intimadance 2009 (Tmuna Theater) – a solo that combines lecture, acting, and movement.
Wrote, produced and staged “Metamorphoses” for Intimadance 2008 (Tmuna Theater) – a solo based on the Roman creation story according to Ovid. The work was also staged as part of “Opus 3” – an independent evening produced at the Tmuna Theater, and at the Higher School of Art – La Cambra in Brussels.
Independent Choreographer in New York 2001-2006
Participated as a choreographer in the 2006 Bushwick Art Project.
Built an interactive video system for “Corridors” – a choreography he created for Second Avenue Dance Company, in 2006.
Created, produced and staged “Female” – a dance evening for 8 dancers at the Wax Theater, Williamsburg, New York 2003.
Other solos and duets, performed in New York and in Israel include:
“Hudud”, “Someone to Talk To”, “Mom/Me”, “#2 Track 4”.
The works were staged at the Wax Theater in Williamsburg, New York, at the Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg, New York and at Ido Tadmor’s studio in Tel Aviv in 2004.
Teaches choreography and reading of theoretical texts, and Acro-dance at the Rubin Academy of Dance and Music in Jerusalem, in the dancers’ training workshop (HASADNA) in Haifa.
