Merav Dagan
About the author
Merav Dagan (1984), choreographer, performer, teacher, international creator and artistic director of the 2020 Intimadance Festival. Graduated with a BA in Dance and education from Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, graduated from the Ilan Lev therapy method course and currently studies for her MA at the Arts interdisciplinary program at Tell Aviv University. Her works have been performed at many festivals in Israel such as Curtain Up, Intimdance, Diver, Acco Fringe Festival, Shades in Dance and A-Genre Festival at Tmuna Theater, as well as various outlets in Sweden, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Russia and New York.
She also received various awards such as the 2019 Ministry of Culture Dance award, 1st place at the 2013 Shades in Dance, Acting award in the 2012 Acco Fringe Festival, Video creation at the 2015 Acco Fringe Festival and Out of the Box award at the 2019 fringe festival in Gothenburg. Her works combine body work with performance, visual theater, sound work, text and music, and seek to challenge both the medium of dance / stage and the way we look and act in reality and the society in which we live.
