ABOUT
Independent choreographer for local and international festivals, teaches dance and conduct workshops, performs and creates at the Clipa Theater.
Winner of the 2003 Ministry of Science, Culture and Sports Award for promising artists in the field of dance and the 2007 and 2012 promising artist award.
Graduated from the Practice Teachers program (B.Ed) at the Kibbutzim College of Education and the Dance program at Thelma Yellin High School for the performing arts.
Michal danced at the Batsheva Ensemble, Liat Dror and Nir Ben Gal, NND Galili Dance, and in many other projects (John Moran – New York, Lara Barsacq – Amsterdam, Noa Dar, Niv Sheinfeld, Anat Danieli and more).
Participated in the plays “Kiss of the Spider Woman” Habima Theater, 2000, “Bodenheim” Cameri Theater, 2007.

2019: “Fanatics” – Intimadance Festival, Tmuna Theater, Tel Aviv.
2018: “In with Out” – Clipa Theater, Tel Aviv.
2017: “Disruption Instead of Tafsan” – a dance, music, dialogue and paint work at Beit Tafsan (a psychoanalytic station for youth), Tel Aviv. Participated by artists and students from the GUFIA training program.
2016: “Hostess” – Clipa Theater, Tel Aviv. Michal Herman hosts artists on stage.
2015: Curator Creator 11, Warehouse 2, Jaffa. Artistic direction and curation.
2014: “WE” (Anu) – Shalem Dance Festival, Jerusalem.

2009: “Fellowship” (Limited Edition) – Israel Festival, Jerusalem. A theatrical dance creation based on a story by Franz Kafka as part of the K. project at Clipa Theater.

Founder of the ‘Gufia’ (BPCI) training course (body / performance / creation / inspiration) for youth and children (2016 onwards).
Dance Teaching at Ankori Studio, High and Middle School for Creative Thinking and Entrepreneurship (2014)
Teaching composition and directing choreographic work for matriculation exams at Alon High School of the Arts, Ramat Hasharon, teaching composition and creating group work for girls in the dance department at Herzog High School in Kfar Saba.
Teaching dance and movement at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design – Jerusalem (multi-departmental semester course) in 2008 and 2009.
Teaching Contemporary Dance and creating choreography for girls in the dance department at the Alon Arts High School, Yavne.
Creating a work for the Yavne Dance Theater Group (2009).
