Bosmat Nossan
About the author
Bosmat Nossan is a Contemporary dance choreographer that her works are presented locally and internationally.
A former dancer at Batshva Dance Company and Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Company. Artistic director of the GAGA teachers training g center, a member of the teaching stuff at La Collecties, Center for Contemporary Art, Dancers’ Advance training program. Bosmat gained scholarships from the America-Israel Culture foundation in 2004 and 2006, she is the winner of the 2005 Remko award for promising artist, and in 2011 she was awarded a fellowship from the Ministry of Culture – dance department for participating at ImPulsTanz festival in Vienna.
Works
2004-2011 – 7 dance pieces through Batsheva dancers creates
2005 – “Solomon is Helping Me”, showcased at the International Exposure Festival at Suzanne Dellal Center.
2006 – “Purple” – a video dance-dance piece in collaboration with Visual Artist Amichai Bikovsky for the excellence project Batshva in the community.
2012 – “A Song for Stage” for the Haga’aton Dance Company. The worked premiered while touring with the workshop at USA.
2012 – “Bug”, a solo dance piece supported by Ha’zira Theater Jerusalem. The work has premiered at the New Dance Festival in Jerusalem, under artistic directors Iris Lana and Maya Haviv at Tmu-Na Theater, part of the March Rabbit events for Kelim Choreography Center.
2013 – “Misfits”, premiered at Yaron Yerushalmi hall, at Tmu-na Theater for the Diver Festival, and as part of Hot Dance.
2014 – “A Hologram of Blue Marks”, premiered at Curtain Up Festival, Artistic Director Itzik Giuli. The work was also performed at Suzanne Dellal center, Jerusalem Theater, through Batsheva Hosts and as part of the Klaser series at Kelim Choreography Center.
“BA ZE”, premiered at Vix Hall at the Weizman Institute, as part of the March Rabbit choreography events, Kelim Choreography Center, and at Inbal Hall at Suzanne Dellal Center.
“New Duet” collaborating with choreographer Ido Feder. The work premiered as part of Room Dance Festival, artistic directors Lior Avitzur and Amos Hetz.
2015 – “In Virtue”, for Curtain Up Festival, artistic director Itzik Giuli. The work performed at Suzanne Dellal Center, The Jerusalem Theater and Kelim choreography center in Bat Yam.
“Figure Sketch” collaboration with composer Amnon Wolman, premiered at Composer-Choreographer Festival for HaTeiva Theater in Jaffa.
2016 – “Clay” and “Tough Bond”, both commissioned by the dance department at Michigan University, for their tour of the USA.
2017 – “Recorder Cold thoughts”, a duet premiered in New York at y92, and performed locally for Batsheva Hosts, Guests at Inbal, and independently at Yasmeen Godder studio, Mendel Cultural Center and Kelim Choreography Center.
2018 – “TOR” a duet created for the event ‘Present Continuous: Contemporary Dance in Archeology’ at the Israel Museum.
2019 – “BA ZE 2019”, performed at Diver Festival, Inbal Dance Theater, Vertigo Village, Noa Dar Studio.
2019 – Created a dance piece for the Dance department at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.
“Ma Neshama” – performed at Diver Festival, Jaffa Well, Inbal Dance Theater, the Spectrum event in Jerusalem, and ׳Arts On Site‘ in NY
