Dana Naim Hafouta is an emerging choreographer and performer, living and working in Jerusalem Israel. Residing in Jerusalem and absorbing its’ complexity in all layers has formed a strong, sensitive and profound point of view on human existence that is prominent in Dana’s work. Her pieces performed in various venues in Israel and abroad: 1,2,3 DANCE! Poland (2023); Quinzena De Danca De Almada, Portugal (2022); Istanbul Fringe (2022); SzoloDuo (2022); Intimadance, Israel (2019); Machol Shalem international dance week, Israel and more. Dana creates dance pieces for stage and site-specific venues that delve into the exploration of the physical, mental and performative manifestations of the human experience of instability. It is Dana’s agenda to bring these human sensations and sensitivities, that are often hidden from the outside eye, to the forefront. Her artistic language is based on highly physical movement mechanisms and their integration with exterior technological stage elements, that create together a fantastic arena of reaction to instability
