Ravid Abarbanel is a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher.

Graduated from Codarts Academy of Dance in Rotterdam, obtained a B.Dance degree and a teaching certificate in dance from the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. 

Graduate from the biennial program for dancers’ training under the artistic direction of Naomi Perlov and Ofir Dagan.

Winner of the Impulstanz Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture Austria – Israel.

Worked with the choreographers: Sharon Vazanna, Shlomit Fundaminsky, Idan Yoav, Dana Katz and Shuli Enosh.

“Underneath”, a solo created and performed by her, was first performed as part of the 2015 Shades in Dance Festival. The work won a choreography award at the Solo-Tanz-Theater competition in Stuttgart, Germany and a performance award at the SoloDuo competition in Cologne, Germany.

Her works “WildHome”, “Crumbling”, “Aliza” and “Underneath1” – have been invited to perform in various cities in Germany, Brazil, Poland, Mexico, Spain, Italy and Israel.  Her work “Uprooted” premiered in November 2019 as part of the Curtain Up festival.

These days, Ravid takes part as a performing dancer in various projects and focuses on independent creation.

Developed and leads the ‘Happy Body’ workshops in various platforms locally and internationally.
