Michal Samama, artist, performer and choreographer, creates choreography works, performances and installations in various formats and spaces of various types. Her works, most of which are site specific, and move between the spaces of the stage, the gallery and the public space.
Samama presented a solo exhibition at the Petah Tikva Museum of Art. Staged works at Sommer Gallery, Kav 16 Gallery, HaKibbutz Gallery, Diver Festival, Curtain Up Festival, Intimadance, Performance Stage, Musrara Mix, and more.
She has performed and exhibited in New York at Judson Church, New York Live Arts, Dixon Place, The Chocolate Factory Theater and Aspect Ratio, Defibrillator, 6018 North, Julius Caesar and Sector 2337 in Chicago.
She has participated in various residency programs: Movement Research in New York, during 2011-2013, Fresh Tracks in New York Live Arts during 2012-2013, at the Musrara School International Residency Program in Jerusalem during 2018.
Michal holds an MFA in Art from the Chicago Institute of Art (SAIC) School. Graduate from the dance and movement program at the Kibbutzim College of Education and Search Engine, the Center for Training Actors and Creators.
